DARIO Research Agent

5-phase AI research system that masters any domain from absolute zero

person Solo developer schedule 1 week

What I Built

Designed the 5-phase research methodology and built the complete agentic pipeline with source tiering and verification gates

Key Outcomes

15-40 searches Research Depth (per full pipeline run)
3,000-8,000 words Report Length (with full source citations)
$0.50-$2.00 Cost per Run (using Claude Sonnet)
5+ Reports Generated (Polymarket strategy analysis)

Tech Stack

Project Overview

Domain Acquisition through Recursive Intelligent Orchestration — a Claude-powered agentic research system that takes a topic label and produces a comprehensive, source-backed research report. Runs a 5-phase pipeline: Discover (map the landscape), Authorities (find experts), Reconstruct (build mental model), Interrogate (stress-test with disconfirming evidence), and Operate (actionable deliverables). Every claim is traced to real web search results with tiered source classification (T1/T2/T3).

Built For

Researchers, founders, and anyone entering a new domain

Learning a new field takes weeks of scattered reading with no structured methodology

Challenge Solved

Building an AI research system that produces genuinely useful reports instead of hallucinated content. Solved with mandatory web search for every claim and a verification gate between analysis and recommendations.

Key Learnings

  • school Phase 4 (Interrogate) is what separates real research from confirmation bias
  • school Source tiering prevents T3 blog posts from driving critical business decisions
  • school Verification gates catch single-source claims before they reach recommendations
